Have you ever read something Jesus said and been totally confused? Does it sometimes seem like Jesus is contradicting himself or defying common sense or being completely irrational? Have you ever just walked away thinking he must have meant his words for someone else in another time. If so, we invite you to join us over the next few weeks as we take a closer look at some of Jesus’ shocking statements as recorded in the gospel of Luke. We’ll discover what they really mean and how they impact our lives today.

Riverbend 101 (12:00 pm)
This is a no-pressure introduction to Riverbend Community Church. Think of it as your backstage pass to the life and culture of Riverbend. You will hear our story – past, present and future. You will also hear about our DNA, beliefs, family values, mission, and leadership structure. In order to become a member you must attend this class, but by attending it doesn’t obligate you to become one. Childcare will be provided. Light lunch and drinks will also be provided. Finance Fundamentals:
Maximizing your impact through effective use of the resources that have been entrusted to you.

1) Setting goals that excite you and enable you to realize your God-given passions
2) Understanding where you are at and where your money is currently going
3) Developing practical ways to enable you to get from where you are to where you want to be by:
-  Dealing with debt
-  Developing a spending plan
-  Saving with a purpose

We invite everyone to come on out for this helpful (and free) class on personal finances.
