Current Sermon Series
It is Written
Jesus saw Scripture as more than words on a page—it was the foundation of His identity, mission, and daily life. In this series, we’ll discover how the Author of life viewed God’s Word and what it means for us to build our lives on that same truth today.
Freed to Live
What if the life Jesus offers is more than forgiveness—it’s true freedom?
In Galatians, the Apostle Paul confronts the lies that keep us trapped in performance, shame, and the need to prove ourselves. He reminds us that the gospel isn’t about earning God’s approval but living from it. Because of Christ, we have been set free—not to do whatever we want, but to become the people God created us to be.
Join us for Freed to Live, a journey through Galatians as we discover the freedom found in God’s grace, our identity as His sons and daughters, and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform our everyday lives. Come experience the freedom Christ has won for you and learn what it means to truly live.
The Familiar Stranger
At Riverbend, we believe following Jesus isn’t just something we do on Sundays—it’s a life we live as we go. But many of us know about the Holy Spirit without really knowing how to walk with Him in everyday life.
In this 3-week series, we’ll look closely at what Jesus said in Gospel of John about the Spirit—how He is with us, in us, and guiding us—and see how those promises come to life in the Book of Acts. This is an invitation to move from simply knowing about the Spirit to actually walking with Him at home, at work, and everywhere in between.
Jesus didn’t leave the Holy Spirit vague—He described Him clearly. The question is whether we’re paying attention.
Promise (Jesus) → Practice (Paul) → Power (Acts)

Tension
Life is full of tensions.
We often try to resolve them—but many of them aren’t meant to be solved. They’re meant to be lived in and managed.
Join us as we explore the tensions we all face and learn how to follow Jesus faithfully in the middle of them.
Friends of Jesus
Jesus had friends—and He still does. Through the story of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, this series reveals a Jesus who is present, compassionate, and powerful. Come discover what it means to live in real friendship with Him.
This series explores the relational side of Jesus’ life, showing how He meets people in their everyday rhythms, their frustrations, and their deepest pain. As we walk through their story, we’re invited to experience the same closeness, trust, and life-giving friendship with Christ.
