On Friday, January 5th a Group for Young women will kickoff at the home of Alyssa Schlener - This group will meet from 7 to 9 PM the first friday of every month, and will be led by Bethann Miller. This will be a great opportunity to connect, , hang out and discuss hot topics!

What is RIPPLE?
a diverse group of people from varied racial, economic and educational backgrounds, all seeking God’s transformation by moving closer to Jesus as our center. They gather for meal fellowship, Bible study, worship, prayer, and food distribution. Bible study and worship take place on the sidewalk, around tables, and in the sanctuary. RIPPLE is intentional about teaching and implementingrestorative practices. RIPPLE works to build partnerships with those who are interested in joining God’s work in the city of Allentown.
RIPPLE is looking for volunteers to cook and serve food to those less fortunate within the city of Allentown on Sunday, October 1st from 3:30 - 6:30 PM. If you are interested in this opportunity please contact Krystah-Jo by email.
Our monthly women's discussion group will be meeting on Thursday, November 30th at 7 PM. They will be continuing a new testament survey - looking at the historical and cultural contexts from the book of Galatians to draw tangible applications for today.

"MAKE A CHANGE" for Puerto Rico

Throughout the month of November, Take 1,2 or more bottles and fill them with change. Each person to donate a bottle (full or not) to add to the community collection (By November 26th) will get to pick from the "Gift Box" for being such a gift to families in Puerto Rico. Women’s November Packing Party
Friday, November 17th (7-9 PM)
Ladies, you are invited to help serve the local homeless community at a Packing Party which will take place in the gathering space on Friday, November 17 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. We will be packing care packages and writing messages of encouragement that will be given to the homeless in our community.
Donations for this event would be greatly appreciated. We are in need of any toiletry items that can fit in a gallon size ziploc bag and other items such as socks, gloves, hand warmers, granola bars, etc. Donations can be dropped off in the designated boxes in the cafe through Sunday, November 12th.

Riverbend men we need your help!
In order to help the whole event run without a hitch, we are looking for some helping hands. We are asking for 10 guys to help with setup (before church), 10 guys to help tear down (after the picnic), and a handful to be helpers during the event to ensure things run as smoothly as possible. On Sunday August 27th directly after the gathering, All members are encouraged to attend our annual vision meeting. This meeting serves to give our community time look back and celebrate the last year of ministry, as well as bring clarity and unity around the vision God has for us in the coming year! With the new school year quickly approaching, we would like to reach out to those families struggling to provide school supplies for their children. If you would like to help lessen the burden on these families, please consider donating some supplies.
Donations will be accepted through September 3rd and can be placed in the labeled bins in the “loving the Valley” closet in the Foundations area. Any family or student in need is welcome to shop the bins for any supplies they may need. Any leftover supplies will be donated to local schools. Common required school supplies include:
-16 or 24 count crayon boxes Glue sticks
-#2 pencils Block erasers
-Pocket folders 2” binders
-Rulers Small school or safety scissors
-Notebook filler paper Black or blue pens
-12 count colored pencils Tab dividers
-Highlighters Graph paper
-Sheet protectors Pencil boxes
-Pencil pouches (to fit into 3 ring binders)
-Back packs large enough to hold binders or pocket folders

4 WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
Set Up: Beginning at 9am at Central Elementary. Working with Event Coordinator , students, staff and Jaime Bassett to set up activities, snack stations, raffle station and decorations.
Tear down: Beginning at 5:30pm at Central Elementary. Support the Central event team on breaking down all things block party and moving everything in to building. Sweeping and pick up on playground area.
Creating a raffle basket: Donating a basket/ gift card or certificate for families to raffle for. Baskets can be filled on anything (helps when its themed related) share with families your interest or hobbies in a cool raffle basket.
Attend: The block party opens to the public 3:15 PM!

On Good Friday, April 14th, We will be holding a “Good Friday Experience”. You are invited to come remember that monumental day 2000 years ago through short films, visual arts, and music. The experience will start at 7 PM and will go for about an hour. Please use judgement when bringing young children, as childcare will not be provided and some images may be graphic and unsettling.
The Autism Respite Program, is looking for those who would be willing to assist and participate in this event! This program is for children (and their families) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and siblings diagnosed with a disability.
