Impressions

Set-up for Sunday Gathering, Greeting and Hospitality

  • Being on the Impressions team is a neat opportunity.  For some, you may be the first impression of Riverbend!  For others, it may be the first time they ever step foot in the church.  You have the opportunity to welcome and help people feel at home by greeting them on a Sunday morning.  Having a positive interaction can set the tone for the entire morning!

Special Needs assistance in Foundations Children’s Ministry

  • Riverbend is committed to making our Foundations Children’s Program more accommodating to those in our community with disabilities and special needs.

Buddies float between classrooms as needed to assist the other volunteers with any kids with special needs.

All buddies are trained specifically to assist these kids. (Prior experience helpful but not necessary).

  • We aim to have some "outside of church" events on a regular basis (every-other-month, at least) to do as a youth group.

Some popular events in the past have been a pool party, home arcade hang-out, movie night, hikes.

Host Community Group

Host or lead a community group or bible study

  • Community groups exist for people to be known among a community of Christ-followers, encouraged in the reality of His gospel, and sent to live in alignment with His purpose.

One of our church’s core values is “relating authentically” — We want to foster environments to develop real relationships that help us know Jesus and to make Him known. One of the primary avenues for this development is through Riverbend’s groups!
